£12k and counting!
The joint charitable project involving DAF Trucks and members of the Transport Association has already raised £12,000 for Helen & Douglas House, the world’s first children’s hospice when it was created in 1982. Located in Oxfordshire near DAF’s HQ in Thame, the hospice offers care for children and young adults with life shortening conditions as well as support for their families.
The multi-award winning DAF Trucks National Dealer Apprentice Programme has enrolled nearly 1,350 students since its introduction in 1995. At an awards ceremony held this week in Bristol, where the programme is based, the 2014 finalists were honoured and the overall winners announced.

The PACCAR MX-11 Euro 6 engine has won the Truck Innovation Award at the annual Fleet Transport Awards 2015 in Ireland. The engine received the recognition because of its state-of-the-art technology, resulting in maximum reliability, high fuel efficiency and low weight for optimum payload.
Contract signed at IAA Hanover 2014
Monopoly, one of Russia’s largest companies specialized in transportation of conditioned food products, will acquire 700 new DAF XF trucks to expand its fleet. The order was signed at the IAA exhibition in Hanover by Ilya Dmitriev and Maxim Onyfrienko - Monopoly directors -, Marcel Verbeeten - general director of DAF dealer Terra Truck - and Ron Bonsen - member of the DAF Board of Management and responsible for Marketing & Sales. Delivery of the vehicles will take place this and next year. As a result of the new order, the fleet of Monopoly will grow to over 1.000 units of which 700 DAF trucks.

Waberer’s International Pte. Co., one of Europe’s largest road transport companies acquires 1,000 new DAF CF and XF trucks to renew its fleet. The order was signed at the IAA exhibition in Hanover by Waberer’s International Chairman/CEO György Wáberer and Ron Bonsen, member of the DAF Board of Management and responsible for Marketing & Sales. Delivery of the vehicles will take place this and next year. As a result of the new order, nearly half of Waberer’s fleet of 3,300 units will consist of DAF trucks.

DAF Trucks will be exhibiting its fullindustry leading product and services range to illustrate that it offers theright solution for every application. A new and extremely quiet CF distributiontruck allows deliveries in city areas where noise restrictions apply duringevening and night. New CF and XF Low Deck tractors maximize the highestefficiency within volume transportation. DAF also announces sophisticatedtechnologies like Predictive Cruise Control and Predictive Shifting to furtheroptimize fuel efficiency.
Company invests in new DAF Euro 6 trucks to improve its efficiency and environmental credentials
The new DAF XF Euro 6 has triumphed over its rivals to be named ‘Fleet Truck of the Year 2014’ by a panel of 12 experts in Ireland’s prestigious, annual Export & Freight Transport & Logistics Awards which were announced in Belfast last week.
DAF is exhibiting three specialised applications for the recycling and waste management sector at the RWM show at the NEC, Birmingham from 16 to 18 September 2014.
