The leading Hungarian Révész Group is putting 400 DAF New CF and New XF trucks into operation. After evaluating several brands this year, DAF was found to be the best in terms of value for money, and low operating and service costs.

Substantially more fuel-efficient, quieter, more powerful and more comfortable. DAF Components introduces significant innovations at Busworld 2017 in Kortrijk, Belgium – downspeeding engines and accompanying axles for buses and coaches. The newly improved PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines are incredibly quiet, providing optimum return at extra-low engine speeds. DAF is also introducing newly developed, extremely fast DAF rear axles, which - in combination with optimised transmissions - delivers exceptionally low fuel consumption and unprecedented travel comfort.
Turners (Soham) Ltd. has added 20 DAF XF six-wheel tractor units to its 450-strong refrigerated fleet. Five of these are the manufacturer’s New XF 450 FTG models, with twin-steer and mid-lift axles.
Brian Yeardley Continental, already regarded as operating one of the highest profile advanced fleets of international mega trucks and trailers in Europe, is adding three New XF 480 FT low-deck tractor units to its fleet – the first to be delivered in the UK. Kevin Hopper, managing director of the business, says he expects, “more to come if the success of the initial fleet additions lives up to expectations”.
Aggregates, cement and ready-mix concrete producer, Hanson UK, says its trials with a new DAF CF 6x2 mid-lift tractor with Muldoon trailer and McPhee mixer combination has been a ‘resounding success’ in reducing its traffic movements. The truck / rear-steer trailer configuration, unusual for UK mixer operations, is proving to be highly effective in boosting delivery volumes while at the same time reducing the number of Hanson’s rigid mixer vehicles on the road.
Following the global launch of DAF’s New CF and XF models at the CV Show earlier this year, one of the first customer deliveries has gone to AAD Transport in Forfar. The XF 530 FTG is a 6x2 mid-lift tractor unit with a new uprated 530bhp PACCAR MX13 engine and new TraXon 12-speed automated gearbox.
New owner chooses DAF because of low TCO and high reliability
DAF has delivered its 500th truck to Jordan. This is a significant milestone for the Eindhoven-based truck manufacturer considering its very recent entry into the Jordanian market in 2014. The delivery of a DAF CF85 4x2 Euro-3 tractor is indicative of the strong position of DAF Trucks in Jordan, where the Dutch manufacturer now leads the market with a share of over 25%.
In just four months since receiving their global launch at the CV Show in Birmingham, DAF Trucks’ New CF and XF models being handed over to UK customers in ever-increasing numbers. The UK market leader’s order book has now topped 1450 units, as deliveries to UK operators start to ramp-up.
DAF Trucks arrives at RWM ’17 delivering its ‘Pure Excellence’ update to the entire DAF product range, most recently its New LF series launched at the end of August. The introduction of the New LF follows the launch of its New CF and XF stablemates at the CV Show in April, and all featuring substantial updates to engines, drivelines and cabs.
