DAF Trucks is set to return to RTX 2025 with a major showcase highlighting its strategic focus on expanding its zero-emissions range, reinforcing its role as the UK’s number one truck brand and a forerunner in the shift toward zero-emission logistics.

DAF is also marking its 30th year of market leadership in the UK with a ‘special reveal’ on its outdoor show stand B1 on the first morning of the show.

Inside the main exhibition hall at Stoneleigh, visitors will be greeted by DAF’s latest battery electric trucks, designed to support distribution and more longer distance haulage operations. Taking centre stage are two zero-emission vehicles from the XD Electric and XF Electric ranges, each combining class-leading operational characteristics, advanced technology, and thoughtful operator-focused features.

On display:

DAF XD 270 FAN Electric – A 6x2 rear-steer rigid at 28-tonne GVW, featuring the EX-D1 270 kW dual-motor electric powertrain and three battery packs delivering 315 kWh of energy, providing a range potential of 320 km. With DC charging up to 150 kW (325 kW optional) and an integrated 22 kW AC charger, this vehicle is designed for practical deployment in demanding urban and regional environments. The DAF XD day cab includes a kerb view window, folding ‘cinema-style’ passenger seat and DAF’s vision dash, all contributing to a 4-Star rating under London’s Direct Vision Standard. Mounted with a Massey Truck Engineering builders merchants’ body and electric Hiab crane, the DAF XD Electric epitomises operational versatility in zero emission format. The DAF XD Electric on display is equipped with a 10.0-tonne front axle and a 2.38:1 rear axle ratio.

DAF XF 350 FT Electric – DAF XF 350 FT Electric is a zero emission 4x2 tractor operating at 42 tonne GCM powered by a 350 kW EX-D2 E-Motor. The electric powertrain features a dual motor and integrated three-speed transmission system. Peak torque of 2470 Nm between 200-1400 rpm – max continuous torque of 370 Nm at 0-2800 rpm. Equipped for DC fast charging up to 150 kW DC and with an on-board converter to facilitate up to 22 kW AC charging (325 kW DC is available as an option). A maximum of five battery packs provides 525 kWh to offer a range of up to 400 km. The DAF XF Sleeper High cab with kerb view window, cinema style folding passenger seat and vision dash delivers a 3-Star London Direct Vision Standard star rating. A 650v ePTO is capable of delivering up to 90 kW.

Both vehicles are underpinned by PACCAR Powertrains and supported by PACCAR Power Solutions, offering a full EV ecosystem that encompasses charging infrastructure and battery energy storage systems. The dedicated DAF EV Team will be available throughout RTX to offer insights into vehicle specification, infrastructure planning and end-to-end fleet electrification support.

Outside – more trucks, plus parts support

Outside, on stand B1 near the main entrance, visitors will find DAF’s range of diesel-powered models sporting the company’s striking new ‘Flame Red’ corporate colourway, introduced with product upgrades at the end of 2024. This line-up will include a selection of models across the New Generation XG tractor and XDC construction ranges, tailored to reflect the diverse needs of the UK’s transport sector.

Adjacent to the vehicles is the PACCAR Parts and TRP display area and hospitality unit, where visitors can explore DAF’s unrivalled parts and aftersales offering. The TRP range covers all-makes parts and workshop consumables, while PACCAR Genuine Parts ensures that DAF fleets benefit from optimum uptime and reliability. DAF Parts experts will be on hand to discuss inventory availability, logistics efficiency and workshop support services.

With an indoor and outdoor footprint showcasing the company’s products, services and sustainability credentials, DAF Trucks is making its intentions clear at RTX 2025; to lead the way in real-world electrification and innovation for commercial vehicle operators.

Ride & Drive

There’s also an opportunity for visitors (holding an HGV licence) to test drive two popular DAF vehicles, a flagship XG+530 6x2 tractor unit and trailer, and a rugged XDC eight-wheel tipper. For those not wishing to drive, there’s the option to ride with a DAF expert.
