Nowadays, inner-city construction sites often fall within ultra low or zero emission zones and can only be reached using electric vehicles. A DAF construction truck is built for demanding on- and off-road applications. High ground clearance and a large approach angle. A strong steel bumper with recessed LED lighting, a radiator protection plate and an optional, flexible bottom step. Powertrain and driveline

The DAF XDC and XFC make use of the powerful and efficient PACCAR EX-1 and EX-2 e-motors. These power units, situated midship, are available with outputs ranging from 170 kW (230 hp) to 350 kW (480 hp) and maximum torques of 1500 Nm and 2400 Nm, respectively. The newly developed 3-step direct drive transmission with planetary gearing set guarantees a low weight, high efficiency and extremely smooth gear-shifting for the highest level of driving comfort and maximum efficiency.

One pedal drive

DAF One Pedal Drive

In order to maximize efficiency, DAF One Pedal Drive functionality can be engaged to use the electric motor for recuperating energy when braking. When regenerative braking is activated through the right-hand stalk, the truck can be controlled by just using the accelerator pedal. The effect of the pedal stroke position will vary depending on driving conditions to make the one pedal driving feel as smooth and intuitive as possible. The maximum amount of available braking power has three levels: 33%, 67%, or 100% of the maximum motor power, and can be manually adjusted using the right-hand stalk.

Bodybuilder friendliness

The XDC and XFC Electric are conveniently built for bodying and available as 6x4 FAT vehicle with a wide variety of battery configurations and placement options. A 25, 60 or 100 kW Electric Power Take-Off (ePTO) is optionally available.
